2.Communication Chain

The Communication Chain is used for any concerns/issues you have. Here is the proper way to address: Player/Player àCoach/Manager àDOC àBoard of Directors

Parents and players are asked to strictly adhere to the following Schwaben A.C. Chain of Communication.

  • The first communication step should be in the form of an email to the manager (organizational questions only) or coach (soccer specific questions regarding your child/the player).
  • The second communication step, in the event an issue/question has not been resolved, should be a scheduled in person discussion with the coach. Do not walk up to a coach after/before practice/game to discuss.

o   U6 - U11 parents should speak with the coach.

o   U12 - U14 parents and the player should speak with the coach

o   U15 – U18 the player should speak with the coach.

  • The third communication step, in the event an issue/question has not been resolved, should be a phone call or email to the Director of Coaching by the parent/player.
  • Parents and players should adhere to a 24-hour pre-game and post-game period when communicating with the coach. Please note this does not apply to communication to the coach to let them know a player is sick or injured and cannot attend a game, for example.

 3.Training / Practices:

  • Be at practice 5 to 10 minutes early so you are ready to start on time.
  • I combined the 17/18 to ensure quality practices
  • Please wear your Schwaben blue or grey practice t-shirt, blue shorts and blue socks.
  • We start the week on Monday with blue and go from there
  • Puma is our equipment provider. No adidas etc permitted.
  • Please know you are representing the club when you step on the practice and game field.
  • Please notify the coach unable to make a practice at least 24 hour prior in cases of non-emergency – via text, email or phone call
  • I will attempt to contact you via email/sport ngin before practice, if practice is cancelled
  • Schwaben AC will make the final decision due to field conditions
  • Please note: If there is thunder and lightning during practice parents will be permitted to drive up to the barn and pick up your child in the circle drive. Schwaben will send a club email as well so be sure to check your email on these days.

 4. Games:

  • Arrive 45 minutesprior to an outdoor game time (indoor 30 minutes), the players need adequate time to warm up prior to a game.  It’s your responsibility to get your child there on time.
  • We will need full commitment from everyone
  • Please notify coach and team manager at least 24 hours in advance if you are unable to make a game:

 5. Practice Attendance

  • I understand there are emergencies; these are things that you cannot foresee.
  • However, absences for homework, for example, speak to time management and priority setting skills. Everyone has homework but it is up to you to manage your time. We have players with 90% or more attendance that get excellent grades. Look at this as practice for college and your future employment in the working world as it doesn’t get any easier.
  • In addition, contacting me shortly before practice is not acceptable (except in the case of emergency). I plan the practice around you and when you don’t show up this affects the whole team

 6. Practice Perspective

  • Push yourself to your limit in one hour each practice. Your fitness level should be improving with each practice. This is vital for the spring season and tournaments.
  • Come mentally prepared – think about what we are doing and why
  • You must love the journey of hard work in every practice and game
  • Along the lines of time management and priority setting, take a hard look at what you are spending your time on and what your goals are.  Success in any area of your life is directly linked to what you make a priority.
  • I am NOT forcing all the above. I see myself as an inspirer and push to reach potential .

Ask yourself where soccer fits in your priorities. What goals do you have for yourself and the team

Attendance, attitude, striving excellence, your perspective are all connected. The outcomes are results.

 7. Player Movement

Player movement up and down is based on practice attendance, practice and game performance, development pace, attitude toward coach, players, practices and games. This is at the discretion of the coach(es) and is not based on requests from parents or players.
